This necklace is named after my youngest sister Antoinette. At the age of two she was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. She is now 11 years old and such a delight to everyone around her. She is positive despite her disease and has love and understanding to those with difficult challenges in their life. Annie has such a pure and kind heart, which always makes everyone feel so loved every time she greets them.

The opal on this necklace was a challenge to find because I was so particular about it’s appearance. I wanted this necklace to be as pure as my sister's spirit. The opal purity is grade AAA and it has a unique fire in the sun. It's daintiness, beauty, and high quality stone will have you putting it one every day.

If you get the opal wet, don't freak out when the intense flashing disappears, it is hydrofoil stone. Welo opals are porous and absorb water so when it dries out it will flash again.

Your Recherché Bijou piece will arrive in a decorative jewelry box ready for gifting or storage. The box is wrapped in bubble wrap to insure safety of product. Each jewelry piece comes with a jewelry cloth to maintain the beauty of each piece.

Items are handmade to order so expect some small variations from the pictures.

As with any jewelry material, it tarnishes naturally. Keep dry and store in a sealed bag when not being worn. To polish use lemon juice or a jewelry cloth.

Some experience green marks on their skin from close-wearing brass or copper pieces. This is safe and washes off with soap and water.
